Charles F. Morgan - fmorgan@agtlawyers.com
Frank's an old friend. We knew him for a lot of years before he joined us in April 2007. We practice in the same fields of law, know the same people, belong to the same law sections and committees. He chaired the State Bar Intellectual Property Committee; one of us did too. But there are things we didn't know about Frank. Until now.
Frank. Hmmm. How can we describe Frank? A quiet dignity, a self assurance? Yes. These aptly describe Frank. But before he joined us, we weren't sure why. It's likely he gained these qualities as a marathon runner in the 1980's (who knew?) or perhaps on Washington & Lee's lacrosse fields (okay, he wasn't first string). Or maybe it was from his service as an Assistant Maryland Attorney General and an Assistant Commissioner of Labor (we didn't know this either.) Or just maybe it was from his 10 years as a sole practitioner - when, if Frank didn't do it, it didn't get done. Might have been his early days when he spent 7 years with the Legal Aid Bureau litigating for the rights of prison inmates. (We knew this, but had forgotten. Hey, some of us are a little long in the tooth, eh?).
Wherever he gained these qualities, we're glad he's got them and we're glad Frank is here. He's got real chops. Licensing, software, technology, publishing, entertainment, advertising, copyright and trademark - he does all these things. Clients include rock bands, children's and classical music artists, filmmakers, a New York Times best-selling author and world class professional athletes. He even practices equine law, and occasionally will leave the office early to meet a client at the racetrack.
Frank is also a very experienced and skilled trial and appellate lawyer. Aside from having litigated cases from Maryland to Mississippi, Frank argued successfully in the United States Supreme Court. (We did know this. And that's a whopper.) And did we mention . . .
