As a result, Astrachan Gunst Thomas was named as general counsel to the Service Station Dealers of America, a trade association that represents the interests of over 10,000 independent service station dealers located throughout the nation. The Firm provides advice and representation to gasoline marketers throughout the country, and represents industry interests before the Supreme Court of the United States and in various federal and state courts, and has presented the industry's position to Congress, the Federal Trade Commission and state legislatures.
We have also represented numerous clients in antitrust and franchise litigation in federal and state courts and in administrative proceedings, and advise our clients on issues of antitrust and franchise law compliance. For a number of years, we published an annual review of the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act and antitrust and franchise litigation of significance to the petroleum industry.
